Horses Assisting Heroes

TRI is proud to support our Veterans. Our goal is to bring comfort, healing, and companionship to men and women who have served in the Armed Forces AND their family members through the power of the horse. Post 9-11 veterans who have completed the required student evaluation and their family members are eligible for support through the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the Wounded Warrior Foundation.  Volunteer opportunities are also available for other veterans and their family members, which give the participant an avenue of networking with other Heroes.  Lessons teach general care of the horse, grooming and tacking, ground work, as well as progressing in horsemanship riding skills.  Participants also will have an opportunity to share their newfound knowledge with their family members during their riding session.

“There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a man.”

~ Winston Churchill
