Format for 2017
This year, our students will participate in a 10 minute Equitation Class followed by an Arena Obstacle Challenge. This year we will have lunch sponsored by Carabba’s served by our TRI Board Members! Lunch will follow our Jockeys riding in their showcase class at noon!
What is an Equitation Class?
Students are judged on basic riding position and skills. The Judge will provide feedback to each student and award Blue Ribbons based on the categories of “Best Position”, “Best Control of Horse”, “Best Turnout” and “Best Overall Impression”.
What is an Arena Obstacle Challenge?
Students will be judged as they navigate 8 obstacles. Each obstacle will be timed. The student has 60 seconds to complete the obstacle. Each obstacle will be judged on how well the student negotiates the challenge. Scores will reflect speed, accuracy and control.
