Meet Jessica Moorhouse – Instructor in Training
TRI is excited to introduce Jessica Moorhouse as the newest addition to TRI’s Teaching Staff.
Jessica started riding horses before she could walk. She grew up showing 4-H, local and Ohio Paint Horse Club shows as well as trail riding, team penning and youth rodeo. Jessica trained her current horse, APHA FleetsMoney Machine (Mac), a Buckskin Overo gelding she purchased as an untrained 2 year old. She fell in love with therapeutic riding when she started volunteering in 2006 for a therapeutic program her mother helped start. She then changed her major in college to Occupational Therapy and set her goals on becoming a Registered PATH Intl. Riding Instructor. As Jessica’s Senior Project in High School, she spent the summer doing an apprenticeship with NRHA’s first and ONLY 5 Million Dollar Rider and reining trainer, Shawn Flarida. Jessica obtained her PATH Intl. Instructor Certificate in April 2014. Expect to see Jessica in the arena this spring!
TRI is pleased to announce the hiring of Amy Bush as Equine Manager. Amy Bush is an equine care specialist with many years experience caring for horses, instructing, and teaching others about riding and caring for equine friends. She has worked with Animal Assisted Therapy through Dogtors where she used her therapy pony, Zach. She is currently a coach of The Midwest Express Youth Drill Team and an advisor of a 4H Club in Warren County. She enjoys her many hours spent with kids and horses. Her pride and joy is, of course, her husband and four children who also enjoy horses very much! She is very excited to be part of, learn from, and serve such an amazing organization that is helping so many! Amy spends many hours every day at the barn, and is extremely familiar with the personalities and needs of our horses. We are thrilled to have someone so qualified and dedicated on the team!
Everyone is invited to this night of fun at JD Legends to kick off the 2015 Season.
