TRI Welcomes New Instructor, Patricia Roberts

Patricia Roberts

Patricia is a Registered PATH Intl. Therapeutic Riding Instructor who recently moved to the Dayton area from Warner Robins, GA. Patricia comes to us with her Masters in Teaching from University of Southern California and her Bachelors in Therapeutic Horsemanship from St. Andrews Presbyterian College. St. Andrews is where Patricia received her PATH certification in the Spring of 2008. She is currently the instructor for our Horses Assisting Heroes program. Patricia’s husband is an active duty Air Force service member stationed at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She looks forward to serving TRI in multiple facets over the next few years.
Welcome, Patricia!

Introducing: Spring Volunteer MVPs!

This Spring, TRI relied on 52 volunteers and it’s high time we recognized their efforts. These volunteers were nominated by their instructor as MVP and we are pleased to honor them!
Monday: Team Gallant Fox – Leslie Shields –
Trotting is one of our students favorite activities, but taxing on our volunteers. Leslie was a horse leader for 3 classes on Monday nights and did a lot of trotting without ever asking for a break. Thanks Leslie for giving the Monday students such a great experience!
Tuesday: Team Omaha – The Entire Team – Tuesday Night
Team Omaha was just just too much of a Powerhouse Pool to pick one MVP. Every volunteer on Tuesday nights contributed to a memorable spring session. Thank you for being a model Team – our students surely benefited from your dedication!
Wednesday: Rachael Kent –
As a Horse Leader, Side Helper or Ring Assistant, Rachael always adds value to the class. Usually leading a horse, Rachael stepped up as a Side Helper this spring in a private lesson and made a connection with a student that resulted in a very successful session. Our volunteers really do make a difference. Thank you Rachael!
Thursday: Tracy Fischer –
Although new to TRI this session, Tracy quickly became a super volunteer! She was always on time and fantastic with the students. Come back soon, Tracy!
Saturday: Celeste Fisher –
Saturday’s are always tough to fill with volunteers and Celeste really stepped up to the plate as a Horse Leader, Side Helper or whatever else was needed to ensure a great class for our students. Our Saturday students appreciate you, Celeste!
